BREAKING NEWS..CONFUSED PRESIDENT BUHARI AND NASIR EL RUFAI HAVE HIRED OVER 2000 HOODLUMS TO TURN BIAFRA PROTEST BLOODY

Radio Biafra, is alleging that President Muhammadu Buhari has pre-occupied himself with investigating the connection between the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, secessionist group and Niger-Delta militants rather than ordering the release of its detained director – Nnamdi Kanu, and call for a dialogue on how to conduct a Referendum.

The secessionist group also claimed that confidants of the President like Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State have hired no fewer than 2000 persons who, it alleged, were paid heavily “to join the IPOB Global Peaceful Protest and turn it into a violent protest, because they have seen that the Biafran protesters are not going to stop anytime soon as against what some people earlier anticipated.”

These allegations were made by IPOB in a news item published on its Radio Biafra website on Tuesday, where it claimed that Kanu “was arrested, secretly charged to a magistrate court, granted bail and he met his bail conditions.”

SIX SOLID REASON THAT PROVES ONE NIGERIA IS A CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY

My Hausa friend asked me: Under what conditions would you start believing that One Nigeria is working? Here was my response: 1. Close down Lagos ports and Open up PH, Calabar, Onitsha and Warri. 2. Cancel all direct and major connecting flights to Lagos and Abuja airports...only local or minimal connecting flights will be allowed. While this is being done, open up Enugu, Owerri, Asaba, Uyo and PH to international flights...direct and major connecting flights. 3. Ask all international and diplomatic missions to move their embassies and consulates from Lagos and Abuja to Enugu, PH and Calabar. 4. All federal governments agencies in Lagos and Abuja shall be relocated to Enugu, PH and Calabar. CBN, NNPC,e.t.c shall and must relocate to PH, Calabar and Enugu. 6. If these conditions can be fulfilled and implemented, we can try one Nigeria and let's see if you Hausas and Yorubas will like it for a month. Meaning, Yorubas and Hausas needing to get visas shall travel to PH, Calabar or Enugu to do that. Same with flying or connecting flights, same with shipping and importing their goods, e.t.c. The Hausa friend replied: You can't be serious, this is wickedness! I said, "Really? Don't you think the South-East and South-South have been suffering and enduring this very same wickedness for over 50 yrs? Why do you think people are clamouring for Biafra?" He was quiet for a few seconds and said: Wow! You are right, but it never occurred to me. I said, "that's the problem with One Nigeria, those who are benefiting love it and would love to maintain the status quo". An adage in my place says, "The one who ate fleshy meat forgets easily; but the one who eats the bone never forgets"!

TEN GREAT QUOTES FROM THE HERO GENERAL ODUMEGWU OJUKWU

10 GREAT QUOTES FROM GENERAL ODUMEGWU OJUKWU..
"I still believe that the one thing that will bring peace, absolute peace, to this country, the type of peace we want attached to development, is to liberate Ndi Igbo and there is no better act of liberation than accepting that they have equal right in Nigeria.”
“There is absolutely no way you can look at the Nigerian federation, the way it was conceived, and say it is a good federation. One of the federating units is bigger than the other units. The other thing is that everything that has worked in Nigeria, or appears to have worked, seems very much to have been an imposition. The idea that sovereignty belongs to the Nigerian people is all fiction as far as Nigeria is concerned.”
“Let us not make the mistake of thinking that this world is a prison. You are what you are for as long as it is comfortable for you. That is how I see it. I have continued to say that in Nigeria what we require is a nation that we can build together.”
“You will understand where I am coming from better if you understand that I was brought up in the Pan-Africanist tradition. I believe that, not only would it be better for the Blackman anywhere if we in Africa find a way of joining hands, all of us.”
“There is no way Igbos would all speak with one voice. But let one be more slightly strident than the others. That is what I look for.”
“It is said that the 1966 coup that failed was strictly an Igbo coup, but then the irony of history is that it was the late General Aguiyi Ironsi, an Igbo who single-handedly dismantled the coup in Lagos, while my humble self, another Igbo-man rendered it immobile in the north.”
“It is only those who have not been involved in a war, that will always push war as the first solution to any problem. War does not solve, it cowers but the problem remains.”
“All over Nigeria there is Biafra but that Biafra today is ‘the Biafra of the Nigerians and not the Biafra of the Igbos’; the Biafra of the mind not Biafra of the fields.”
“The civil war was a stage. Some might say an unnecessary stage and some might say an inevitable stage in our march to nationhood. Whichever way, it was a stage and a mile-post in our agglomerate development. We cannot wish it away. We must for ever take it into consideration whenever the subject is Nigeria.”
“I regret the disabilities of the war. It was a choice: it was either to become a slave of the Hausas in that time, or to do what we did. And up till tomorrow, whenever I’m given the opportunity to choose, I’ll reject slavery.”

#BIAFRA THE ONLY NAME THAT SCARE NIGERIANS TO HELL

The protest continues as Nigeria F.G refuse to address the issue on ground even when well meaning nigerians sees the protest as threat to the Nation.

THE WAR AGAINST THE IGBOS BEGINS AS ONITSHA AND ENUGU IS UNDER SIEGE AND BLOCKADE.

By Dozie Ezennia Awka.

This morning I received the sad news as confirmed by Omata chairman main market Onitsha  that E.F.C.C  invaded the popular foreign currency exchange in Onitsha  main market and arrested some traders and impounded their  dollars and pounds and other foreign dominated currencies  running into unconfirmed amount. Early in the day at Enugu international airport the agency has also  arrested some big time importers from Onitsha who are bound to travel out on Ethiopia airline claiming they are laundering money after seeing in their  possessions money ranging from $100.000 to $150.000 and confiscating them. There is no doubt that Onitsha and her business community is again being targeted to slow its prosperity which under Gej boomed due to many incentives from state and federal government. Onitsha as a commercial hub was almost on her knees during Obasanjo era when if not GUO and his fleet of luxery buses its very hard or near impossible for goods to enter Onitsha main market then when almost every item is classified as contraband. Thanks to Okwute who used his friendship with Gej maximally and intervens on traders behalf that pushed federal government to designate Onne port for Onitsha importers. Again today those gains are being reversed rapidly as if somebody is at war with Onitsha traders. We are being reminded of the evil days of before  when if your traveling you have to give custom officers heavy inducement before you are allow to travel with anything higher than $5000 and again seme border customs will receive greater inducement if later your goods arrived Cotonou Port. I never dreamed we will ever travel this road but here it comes with more frightening consequences.

FAKE CHANGE!!! OPEN LETTER TO MADAM CHANGE OBY EZEKWESILI

By Chinyere Lauretta Ufearoh-Onoh

Oby Ezekwesili has not posted any message on her Chibok girls’ campaign on her Twitter timeline since the 27th of July 2015.
Before she disappeared, she left a message that says she was going for a religious event organised by her church. Now I reckon that that event happens annually and did take place last year.
It is obvious that Oby did not take any such leave from her campaign while this same event took place last year.
This is the longest break this woman would take since she launched her Chibok girls’ campaign! I am appalled that the entire blogosphere and the Nigerian press have refused to give this sudden leave from her campaign of calumny the desired scrutiny.
Is it not right that this woman is not allowed to fool Nigerians in this manner or has the Chibok girls been brought back well and alive? Why is the press and blogosphere giving this woman such a soft landing on this issue is beyond me ..

B*R*E*A*K*I*N*G N*E*W*S INDONESIA AIRLINE MISSING WITH 54 PASSENGERS ON BOARD.

Indonesia's state search and rescue agency has reported that it lost contact with an Indonesian aircraft.

In a tweet posted on Sunday, Bandan SAR Nasional or National Agency Search and Rescue said that the Trigana Air had 54 passengers on board.

The passengers include 44 adults, two children, three toddlers and five crew members.

According to the tweet the aircraft lost contact while flying over the remote eastern Papua region at 14:55 local time.

The plane was flying between Jayapura's Sentani Airport and Oksibil, due south of Jayapura, the capital of Papua province.

An AirAsia passenger jet crashed en route from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore last December, killing all 162 people on board.

The crash prompted the government to introduce regulations aimed at improving safety.

Indonesia's president promised a review of the ageing air force fleet in July after a military transport plane crashed in the north of the country, killing 130 people, including 110 passengers and 13 crew members.

FIRST LADY AISHA BUHARI VISITS IMO AND MILLIONS SPLASHED AMID WORKERS UNPAID SALARY

AISHA BUHARI'S VISIT IS A SCORN TO IMOLITES
MILLIONS OF NAIRA TO BE SPLASHED ON FIRST LADY'S VISIT TO IMO, AS IMO WORKERS TURN TO BEGGARS
The news all over the place is that the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Not Wife of the President as she deceitfully wants us to call her) is visiting Imo, as a guest of Imo's First Lady, on the occasion of this year's August meeting.
This is an unnecessary jamboree, considering the high level of lack being experienced by Imolites at the moment.
For a government who have callously refused paying its workers for an upward of five months, organizing an elaborate activity like this one is not only unnecessary but an affront on the sensibilities of long suffering Imolites.

Mrs. Aisha Buhari's acceptance to honour this invitation portrays her as someone who does not have the slightest empathy for the suffering of those being led by her husband. It would have being more responsible of the President's wife to tell Imo's First Lady to divert the funds meant for sponsoring her visit to pay Imo workers. My analysis is that the huge budget allocated for this jamboree will be enough to offset at least one month salary arrears of Imo workers.

B.O.M.B.S.H.E.L.L NATIONAL ASSEMBLY IS NOT YOUR PARTY SECRETARIAT SEN IKE EKWEREMADU TELLS A.P.C

Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has told the All Progressives Congress, APC, that the National Assembly is not the party’s secretariat.

Senator Ekweremadu made the comment through his Special Adviser on Media, Uche Anichukwu.

The aide was interviewed during a RayPower Radio morning programme, tagged: “Political Platform”,  Wednesday morning.

Reacting to alleged forgery of the Senate Standing Rule by APC members, Anichukwu reminded the ruling party that the seat his principal was occupying was not meant for any political party or individual but Nigerians.

His words: “Every Senate or House has its Standing Rule/Order, as every Standing Rule/Order normally that has a life span of four years. So, if you go to the Office of the Clerk to the National Assembly now, you are likely to find Standing Rules/Orders of 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011 and the current 2015.”

“Going by Section 50 (1) of the 1999 Constitution, that Office doesn’t belong to anybody or party. It belongs to Nigerians. That is why APC lawmakers became Speakers in Plateau and Benue State Assemblies last June even when the APC was in minority.

“By the way, are some people trying to tell Nigerians that if the PDP had won majority in the National Assembly, which is an independent arm of government, and head both chambers, then the President Buhari Administration would cease to function?

“Just as I said in a statement a few days ago, we will not be intimidated and will do everything democratically possible to protect the independence of the National Assembly”.

Anichukwu insisted that at the time the said Senate Standing Rule/Order 2015 was made, Ekweremadu had ceased being the Deputy Senate President and so could not have influenced or doctored the document.

“From the point of the valedictory session of the 7th Senate on 4th June, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Distinguished Senator David Mark and the rest of other members of the 7th Senate ceased to be senators until the 9th of June, when the 8th Senate was inaugurated; and as usually done, the new senators received new Standing Rule/Order 2015.
The making of that 2015 edition of the Senate Rule/Order is the business of the bureaucracy of the National Assembly. What the 8th Senate can do, which its predecessors have sometimes done is to amend as suitable and the process of the amendment is spelt out in the that document”.

Bad faith advise to Ndigbo !

Nigerians have consistently advise Ndigbo go to home and invest but the sad reality is the same Nigerians from certain sections of the country will explore all means necessary to frustrate the same Igboman for investing in any part of the East including SS.

Why is it that whenever an Igbo man decides to heed to this ''advise'' , he starts facing unnecessary challenges and imaginary hiccups set by Nigerian Govts ...? Save for Jonathan.
During Obasanjo's regime, traders in Lagos Decided to stop using Lagos wharf and shifted to Calabar. Obasanjo overnight decreased the tariff in Lagos and increased the one of Calabar by almost 50 percent.

Ibeto wanted to go into cement, Obasanjo dealt with him harshly. Ibeto only crime is that sited his factory in the East region and not SW. Any unwritten policy to under develop Eastern region....? Are we still in a Free Market Economy?

I have read much on the case and have also heard underground stories about what caused the legal tussle.

When OBJ was in power, Innoson imported some motorcycle and agricultural machines but they were seized by the Customs despite meeting the requirements. Customs subsequently auctioned the goods worth billions of naira.

Senator Iyabo Obasanjo bought the goods at ridiculously low prices. Innoson sued Customs and the court ordered Customs to pay Innoson over N2 billion. GTB (bankers of the Customs) appealed the judgement, claiming that Customs had no money, even though evidence showed that Customs had over 10 billion in their account with GTB.

The Appeal Court upheld the High Court judgement. GTB went to the Supreme Court.

GTB have tried to explore the media to damage Innoson's reputation.

PANIC AS NIGER DELTA MILITANTS STRIKES CUSTOM SERVICE BASE IN ORON.

Heavily armed men suspected to be Niger Delta militants on Monday invaded the Nigerian Customs Service Base in Oron, Akwa Ibom State, killing an officer and carting away 10 rifles.
The Police and residents of the area, who have since confirmed the incident, said the gunmen attacked the base at about 9pm.
The Nigerian Customs Marine Base is located at Esin Ufot, a fishing community in Oron Local Government Area.
A source, who requested his identity be protected, told PREMIUM TIMES that the area has come under consistent attacks by the hoodlums.
“The so-called militants attacked the Nigerian Customs Marine office in Oron and killed one officer, injured anther and went away with 10 rifles,” the source told PREMIUM TIMES. “That is the latest in the town now.”
Another source who spoke with PREMIUM TIMES lamented that the militants were becoming more daring by the day and have been wreaking havoc in many communities in the riverine area.
According to him, the militants have raided the police station, the Nigerian Immigrations Barracks and key fishing settlements in the area.
“The situation is becoming very critical nowadays as the militants now attack security operatives and local fishermen alike,” said the source.
“The other day, they ransacked a police station and later they attacked an Immigrations Base.
“From Oron waterway to Uta Ewa in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area, the militants have been robbing and killing people almost on a daily basis.
“The last time it happened here in Oron they invaded and over powered the marine police and carted away their arms while the policemen fled for their lives”.
The source insisted that the militants were better armed than the Nigerian Police, the Nigerian Customs Service and the Nigerian Immigrations Service.
According to him, the senator representing the area in the National Assembly would soon raise a motion of urgent national importance to draw attention to the menace.
In a telephone interview with PREMIUM TIMES, the Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State, Gabriel Achong, confirmed the attack.
“Yes, it is true that militants attacked the Marine Base of the Nigerian Customs Service in Oron yesterday (Monday),” Mr. Achong said.
“It is also true that one Customs officer was killed and 10 rifles taken away by the militants.”
He said the Monday attack was an isolated case, denying there had been repeated attacks in the area.

13 SOLID REASONS CHIBOK GIRLS WAS A SCAM AND CONSPIRACY AGAINST G.E.J's ADMINSTRATION.

1. How come all of a sudden we are no longer hearing Oby Ezekwesili campaign for their release? Did something get mixed up along the line? Because it is on record that the army said the chibok girls were NOT among the rescued girls.

2. The wife of the president on Thursday evening held a dinner with the mothers of the missing girls so if indeed they have not been found, why is APC backtracking?

3. Maiduguri airport which had been closed for over 2 years on account of BH violence was reopened yesterday amidst the violence which has been upbeat since PMB took over. Is there something Shettima isn't telling us?

4. I am not aware of any school even I'm the educated south where there is close to 300 students enrolment for physics exams. How much more in the village of chibok. Does that add up?

5. What mode of conveyance was used to move over 200 students? Does it sound even plausible? Considering that if they were using buses, they would need about 15 to do so

6. Does it make sense to assume that some girls escaped from BH camp running faster than bloodthirsty islamists who have shown no qualms in killing? Especially when they are armed and know the terrain against little girls who have no idea where they are or where they are headed? With no supplies or direction?

7. WAEC has a duplicate of exam photocards of their candidates. How come these photo cards have never been made public?

Has anyone imagined the logistics of keeping over 200 prisoners talk less female prisoners without the knowledge of the entire world?

8. Even el-Rufai and the current leadership in APC have suddenly lost their tongues... Can someone explain these?

9. The mantra by this administration before it came on board was that it will end BH menace in one month. And that any insurgency that lasts more than 24 hours has the government complicit in it. Well its more than 2 weeks.... Wouldn't the same standard apply here? I would also have wanted to see some action that will convince me that something significant will be happening in the next 12 days to rescue these girls and end in the insurgency as promised.... Or are you asking us not to hold the government by its promise? 10. While President GEJ was not present during this abduction, he is bound to listen to the report of his security chiefs. Thus he cannot officially hold a position different from his security chiefs. He takes responsibility for their position as the Commander in Chief. Whether or not he is convinced is now his personal opinion. However, we must also remember that it was on record too that the former NSA raised alarm on the complicity of members of the security agencies and government in the BH saga so it becomes difficult to separate fact from fiction.

11. If the Chibok girls were scattered or profiled, the man promising one month to rescue and end the insurgency MUST have known of the scattering and the locations and how to coordinate such rescue in 30 days. He must also have known the infiltrators in the security agencies that will carry out this operation and how to cage them. If not I will be as aghast as you would, if sincere, on the basis of such pronouncements.

12. Coming from a president who would stabilise global oil prices, employ 3 million Nigerians per annum amidst a recession, offer free meals to school children, make our Naira exchange 1 to 1 to the dollar amongst a litany of other obtuse promises must surely have started something to announce his arrival. At least the first batch of the 1.5 million jobs for the year ought to have started... Even if its just 100,000 jobs to stamp his authority. I really wonder therefore who is 'clueless' here. Because basic economics teaches me that parity in exchange rate only favours an importing economy. For an exporting economy, the reverse is the case. With very weak currency and good standard and cost of living, the economy thrives. Please check Japan and China. The naira if I'm not mistaken is even higher than the Yen or at par yet Japan is among the top 5 economies in the world.

In view of this, I find it hard to swallow 'ineptitude' especially when it comes in defence of a man who just met President Mitchell of West Germany and who indirectly promised to kill all industries in Nigeria and make us an importing nation. I am floundering as I assume you should be now in trying to grasp the rationale in that comment...

13. I am happy that hapless girls are given a voice by international crusaders however I am worried that international crusaders switched off as soon as the elections elections ended. Can't they continue till they see to the end of their crusade? It makes it grossly suspect, their timing in deciding to end their campaign for violence against women.

I am 100% for women empowerment, gender equality and violence against women. Even my closest friend has a song on it in which I might lend my voice to down the line.... I am peeved however that the rise and fall of this campaign seriously coincided with the 2015 general elections....

Finally let me ask you this, "Would you stop campaigning if your daughter was kidnapped by BH because Buhari won?"

I just wonder!"
.......Obinna Onyekachi Mgbeahurike.

COURT STOPS C.J.N FROM SWEARING BUHARI IN COME MAY 29 OVER CERTIFICATE SAGA.

A Civil Society Organisation, the Incorporated Trustees of Advocacy for Societal Rights Advancement and Development Initiative, has ‎asked the Federal Court in Abuja to stop the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, from administering oath on the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari on May 29.
‎The group, in an originating summons that was filed by its lawyer, Mr. Philip Ekpo, insisted that Buhari is not legally fit to take over as the President of Nigeria.

•Buhari: Decked out
The plaintiff argued that Buhari did not meet the qualification enshrined in the 1999 Constitution and the Electoral Act, and ought not have contested the April 11, 2015, presidential election.
Cited as respondents in the suit were Buhari, the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
The group specifically applied for an order of interim injunction restraining the 3rdRespondent or any person acting in his capacity, from swearing in the 1stRespondent as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on May 29, 2015, or any other date thereof, pending the determination of the Motion on Notice.
According to the plaintiff, “‎The 1st Respondent gave false information in the Affidavit he presented to the 2nd Respondent and on the strength of which he contested and purportedly won the presidential election which was conducted by the 2nd Respondent on
March 28, 2015.
“The 1st Respondent deposed to an Affidavit dated ‎November 24, 2014 that his West African School Leaving Certificate is in the custody of the Secretary to the Military Board
“The Nigerian Army on ‎January 20, 2015, said that in the personal file of the 1st Respondent with the Nigerian Army, they do not have the original copy of his West African School Leaving Certificate (WASC) nor does the Nigerian Army have the Certified True Copy of his WASC results neither do they have a photocopy of the said result.
“The 1st Respondent has not met the qualifications enshrined in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Electoral Act, Cap E6, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2010 (as amended) to havecontested the position of President of Nigeria at the 2015 general elections.
” That the authority conferred by Section 140 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) on the 3rd Respondent to administer oath of office to any person who will occupy the office of the President of Nigeria cannot be exercised in respect of the 1st Respondent who has not fulfilled the requirements of the same Constitution and the Electoral Act as it relates to his eligibility to occupy the office of President of Nigeria”, it averred before the court.
This therefore prayed the court ‎to declare that the information contained in the Buhari’s FORM C.F.001 stating that his educational qualification is the West African School Leaving Certificate (WASC) and that same is with the Secretary to the Military Board amounts to False Information.
As well as to hold that the information contained in the Buhari’s Affidavit deposed to on 24th November, 2014 stating that his West African School Leaving Certificate (WASC) is with the Secretary to the Military Board amounts to False Information.
More so, it is among other things, seeking ‎”A declaration that the 3rdDefendant is estopped fromswearing in the 1st Defendant as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as the issue of perjury involving the 1st Defendant has not been resolved.
“An order restraining the 3rdDefendant or any person appointed for such purpose from swearing in the 1st Defendant as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 29th May, 2015 orany future dateswhatsoever forgiving False Information to the 2nd Respondent on oath.
“An order annulling the Certificate of Return given to the 1stDefendant by the 2ndDefendant.”
Meantime, the case is yet to be assigned to any judge for hearing.

THE MAN OF HONOUR G.E.J APPROVES #5BILLION TO PURCHASE STOVE FOR RURAL WOMEN.

President Goodluck Jonathan has released N5 billion to the Ministry of Environment for the purchase of clean cook stoves for rural women, a project which is expected to gulp N9.2 billion.
Minister of Environment Laurentia Mallam, who said this yesterday, added that the President will inaugurate the project today.
Mrs. Mallam said the stoves will be distributed to women in the rural areas through the state ministries of environment.
According to her, the contractor, Messrs Integra Renewable Energy Services Limited, has been given N1.3 billion from the N5 billion released by the Federal Government.
She spoke during an inspection visit to the Velodrome at the National Stadium, Abuja, where some of the 750,000 stoves were being assembled.
The minister added that clean cook stoves will help to discourage the use of firewood for cooking, which she said is one of the causes of desertification in the North.
She said: “We started in the northern parts of the country because of the challenges we are facing there with the desert encroaching into the country and people still cut down trees.
“Now, the President wants it to spread throughout the country and so we have this project.
“The ministry has received N5 billion so far. You know when N9.2 billion was approved by the Federal Government last year, we told Nigerians that N9.2 billion has been approved by the Federal Government. But so far, N5 billion has been released to the ministry.
“We have given the contractor 15 per cent, which is N1.3 billion. That is what we have released to the contractor and we still have N3.7 billion in the ministry’s account.”
Mrs. Mallam added that by 2020, most women in the rural areas will have access to the stoves.

FIVE WAYS TO LIBERATE P.D.P TO WINNING PARTY AGAIN BY NWACHUKWU UGOCHUKWU.

By Nwachukwu Ugochukwu

I apologize to my people who needed to task me on fulfilling my promise. I did not write the epistle on the day promised and I will not write an epistle, rather I will summarize and abbreviate it in a few paragraphs.
I have been very active in politics since 1999. During the Banbangida/Abiola era, I was a young man but still followed all the politics of those days at a tender age. I was one of the few guys that first predicted that Ihedioha will loose the 2015 elections to Okorocha. My writeup on that is in Igboville today.
I initially decided not to disclose what I am about to disclose because those with political foresight should be consulted and compensated for it, but I have decided to throw out everything I know to whoever wants to listen and use it for the growth of Nigeria in general. I caved in to write this because of the repeated push by my fans especially Mr. Charles Ikemredia and others who have asked on several occasions for me to fulfill my promise of writing the epistle.
Well, everything I want to write is on how PDP can transform itself into a better political party and win both the 2019 general elections and all states in SS, SE, half of SW and middlebelt or more.
1. PDP needs to merge itself with one or two parties.
Fortunately, everyone agrees with this and hence I don't need to explain anything here.
2. PDP and the new merger should adopt a new name.
I have said it severally that a new name will help retain sympathizers currently in PDP while throwing away the bad name. I have never been a member of PDP but joined the fight because of Goodluck Jonathan. The major reason I joined Goodluck Jonathan was because of the pictures of burnt and slaughtered Nigerians I keep seeing everyday online. At a point, I decided that I must join this man and fight for justice. I know how much and what I lost in that fight.
PDP has a bad name in Nigeria. After the handover this week, most reasonable people will refuse to mingle with or deal with PDP as the dust begin to settle. Once GEJ is totally out of the picture, my Igbo governors and PDP members will gradually start joining APC. It will be a gradual process but it will be a complete process. This is not the first time it has happened and will never be the last. Almost all the governors of the SE will join APC. The injuries we suffered during the civil war has never allowed us to play opposition politics and I support my people for that. We must gain the little we can from the Federal government, being that we are hated by the right and the left. We have to survive and rebuild our area first and we have been surviving that way until today.
When the Igbos leave, the South South will join, and PDP will totally collapse. It will be the rescue party for the Yorubas (who will definitely fall out with Buhari) to use in fighting Buhari when the time comes.
To prevent this, the PDP needs to redefine PDP and they need to do that very fast. They need do this today and tomorrow. Dont wait till when people are fleeing the PDP camp before you do that. Do that today being Monday. Do that before Friday. Do that now. You have nothing to gain by keeping that name PDP. Change the name. The people who coined that name have all left: Obasanjo, Gemade, Atiku, and all the great corrupt people we all know. Now, only new comers are left in PDP. Why would you want to carry the burden and sins of the old criminals?
Change the name and expel one of two saboteurs from the party and see SE and SS clap for you. Draw a new manifesto and institute a workshop. Decide on programs you want to pursue and demands you want fulfilled from the new government. Call it a name.
Let me suggest some manifesto points for you.
A. Resource control
B. Lower Nigeria economic block to include sea ports, interlinking expressways and health system.
C. Southwest economic block with new ports in Ondo etc.
The people you have in your base are the most sophisticated and most educated people in the country. You have the SS, the SE, the SW, and the middle-belt. Honestly if you reform and re-brand the party, send just one or two people parking, draft a mouth watering agenda to move forward (and they see that it caters to their innermost needs), they will lay down their lives in supporting you. They don't need your money or any other thing from you.
3. I have recently disagreed with some folks who suggested that PDP should field a northerner come 2019.
I spent lots of money in Business School acquiring a Masters of Business Administration. I was taught that when you have a customer base, you do not leave them and go hunting for new customers. You treat them well and then others will see how you treat them and come join you.
Political parties are like businesses. They are in the business of grabbing power. You have a base which is SS, SE, and some SW, and Middlebelt. These are your customers. To ensure that your base remain intact, begin from next week to send rumors and gossip to the media that your preferred 2019 candidate will come from SE and middlebelt with SS vice or SW vice. Begin today. Dont wait for tomorrow. This will keep your base intact. Your job now is to keep your base intact. If you dont, your base will scatter and you will begin to scramble to get them back but you will never see them again.
4. Some have argued that if PDP does not go after the north and bow down and beg them and then ask one of them to become their candidate, PDP will be buried. Then I ask them, why didnt APC present a Niger Deltan against GEJ?
I have played politics enough to know that if you pair two oranges together, on election day, nobody will come out. However, if you want the whole of Nigeria to come out for and against, pair an Igbo man against Buhari come 2019 and the whole of Nigeria will come out either to vote for or against the Igbo man. You will retain all your SE, SS, Middlebelt, and SW states, gain a few more, and then give APC a good fight.
If APC had presented a Niger Deltan against GEJ, most of us would not have even registered to vote. Always give people something new, something different, to get them motivated.
5. Last but not the least. Elections in Nigeria are not won by how much you have performed but by how well you make your calculations.
If PDP begins from today to shout "resource control" and "regional government", they would capture the whole of SE and SS. No governor from there will think of leaving the party because they will termed a traitor. They will also capture the activist Yorubas. So this ensures that PDP have their base covered.
Then here comes how elections elections are won. In 2019, each APC senator/reps/governor in the north will have a PDP challenger in those states APC readily won in this election. The PDP challenger normally will educate his people to vote PDP just for him and vote whosoever they want for other positions. However, lack of proper assmilation will make some vote all positions for PDP. The little votes PDP will get from those misinformed voters (who will vote PDP top-down) will all add up all over the north and some middle-belt states. PDP will add those to their strong base in the South and win the election. Its not a 100% feat but its the best route to win the election and I believe it will work.
My people have a saying "anu gi gbalaha gi, gi egbubiri ya odu".This simply means that if you miss to cut off the head of your hunted animal, at least you can boast of cutting of its tail.
PDP can retain all they have now and have a good shot at the presidency in 2019. It all lies in their hands.

END OF STRIKE AS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND MARKETERS REACH AGREEMENT.

Petroleum products marketers and the Federal Government on Monday set aside their face-off with government, resolving to immediately mobilise to ensure restoration of normal supply of fuel throughout the country.
At the end of a meeting convened by the Senate Committee on Petroleum (Upstream and downstream) to resolve the crisis, Chairman, Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN), Obafemi Olawore, said its members, consisting Oando, Conoil, Forte Oil, MRS, Total and Mobil Oil agreed to commence lifting and distribution of fuel immediately from the stock supplied by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
Capital Oil and Gas Ltd had on Sunday commenced the loading of 13 million litres of petrol from its depot in Apapa for distribution to the various states to reduce the current scarcity.
The Chairman of the company, Ifeayin Ubah, told journalists in Lagos that more than 2,000 trucks would be loaded before May 29 to boost the country’s economic activities.
He said the company’s facilities had the capacity to load 13 million litres of the product within the period.
“This comes to approximately 500 trucks of petroleum products on daily basis. With this, it is our belief that once again our citizens will begin to smile and return to normal family and work life.
“We call on other petroleum marketers to follow suit and save our nation from this impending economic and social crisis,’’ he said.

MINISTER OF FINANCE NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA DISCLOSE WHAT THE STATE GOT FROM EXCESS CRUDE OIL ACCOUNT.

Keeping to her promise to disclose what the states got from the Excess Crude ACCOUNT, the MINISTER OF FINANCE Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala-Iweala Sunday said the 36 states of the federation, received a total of N2.92 trillion from the ACCOUNT between 2011 and 2014.
A statement from the Federal Ministry of FINANCE released Sunday night said the it had become necessary to make the figures public following recent accusations by the Rivers state governor on behalf of state governors.
The statement from the federal ministry of Finance noted that the “figures show that they (states) received N966.6 billion in 2011, N816.3 billion in 2012, N859.4 billion in 2013 and N282.8 in 2014. The low figure for 2014 reflects the steep decline in revenues due to the impact of the crash in global OIL PRICES which began in the middle of the year.
Akwa Ibom got the highest with (N265 billion), Rivers (N230.4 billion), Delta (N216.7 billion), Bayelsa (N176.3 billion), Kano (N106.5 billion) and Lagos (N82.9 billion) respectively got these amounts from the ECA.
Kwara (N52.8 billion), Enugu (N51.6 billion), Gombe (N47.7 billion), Nassarawa (N46.9 billion), Ekiti (N46.8 billion) and Ebonyi (N44.3 billion) received the least amounts in that order.

The fluctuation in the ECA the statement explained “reflects the sharing of the proceeds usually requested by state governors as well as the practice of Augmentation which involves additional sharing from the ECA when available funds are not adequate to meet revenue projections.”
The ministry noted that Subsidy and SURE-P payments are also made from the Excess Crude Account while the Federal Government’s share from the ECA during the period was N3.29 trillion.

IFEANYI UBA THE MESSIAH SAVES NIGERIA FROM FUEL SCARCITY.

Ifeanyi Ubah’s CAPITAL Oil has pulled out of the ongoing strike by the fuel tankers and marketers, saying it was not going to be part of the ploy to inflict pain on Nigerian masses.

In a press statement issued by the COMPANY and signed by its MANAGING DIRECTOR, Ifeanyi Uba, the company announced that its resolution takes immediate effect.

According to the company, it has the capacity to load over 13 million litres of product before dawn. This comes to approximately 400 trucks of petroleum products. It said with this gesture, ”it is our belief that once again our citizens will begin to smile, return to normal family and work life.”

The company called on other petroleum marketers to follow suit and SAVE the Nation from an impending ECONOMIC and social crisis.

It stressed on the importance of sacrifice, especially as Nigeria moves to have a new government, saying, ”This is a period that requires patriotism and service to fatherland. Let’s join hands to help our fellow citizens and save Nigeria. We also call on striking bodies to call off the strike action. Let us work together for the betterment of our people.”

Below is full statement:

On Saturday, 16th May 2015, we received an SMS ordering the suspension of loading activities in all depots from Monday 18th May 2015. We later realized that this directive was as a result of unpaid funds owed to transporters by OIL MARKETERS who in turn are owed by the Federal Government. This development has resulted in immense hardship to our fellow country men and women. We believe that a better solution can be pursued towards solving this problem in a way that does not adversely affect our dear citizens.

Capital Oil and Gas has watched with so much pain, the suffering and hardship our citizens have been subjected to as a result of scarcity of PETROL, diesel, aviation fuel and house hold kerosene. We are deeply pained to hear that hospitals cannot perform surgeries, laboratories are unable to carry out much needed tests especially for emergency patients leaving such patients at RISK of dying, radio stations are shutting down, communication is being affected as MTN and other telecommunications company have announced an impending shut down while homes, offices and key facilities nationwide are experiencing blackouts. In some parts of the country, petrol is already selling at an all-time high of N1,000 per litre. Our citizens have left their homes and are now sleeping in fuel stations, facing the risk of robbery attacks and other attendant risk.

In a few days’ time, a new government headed by General Muhamadu Buhari will be sworn in. Apart from our citizens being unable to watch the handover on television and unavailability of transportation for attendees of this historic handover, the resulting chaos from this scarcity may shutdown the Nation and sabotage the efforts Nigeria has made to attain greater heights.

We are constrained at this point and have decided that two wrongs cannot make a right. We will not be part of this sabotage against our fatherland. Therefore from this minute, we shall take the risk of opening our facilities and commence swift loading and distribution of products Nationwide.

Our facility has the capacity to load over 13 million litres of product before dawn. This comes to approximately 400 trucks of petroleum products. With this act, it is our belief that once again our citizens will begin to smile, return to normal family and work life. We call on other petroleum marketers to follow suit and save our Nation from this impending ECONOMIC and social crisis. This is a period that requires patriotism and service to fatherland. Let’s join hands to help our fellow citizens and save Nigeria. We also call on striking bodies to call off the strike action. Let us work together for the betterment of our people.

As we brief you this moment, our truck park, port reception facilities and our depot complex have been ordered opened. We are ordering and resuming discharge of products from vessels at our berths. We have ordered our trucks to commence loading of products and move overnight to every state of the Federation.

Most importantly, we wish to use this medium to thank NNPC and PPMC for their steadfastness in ensuring the availability of petroleum products. Current PPMC STOCK level in our storage tanks and buffer stock on vessels awaiting discharge at our jetty is capable of meeting the Nation’s need for 15 days.

Furthermore, we wish to emphasis that we have a total solution to the traffic menace on the oshodi apapa expressway. In the coming weeks, we hope to engage the Federal Government (Federal Ministry of Transport), Lagos State Government and other stakeholders in the affected area, to optimally utilize our truck park facilities which has the capacity to ACCOMMODATEover 1,100 trucks per time and 5,000 on a shift basis.

CAPITALOil and Gas continues to appeal to Nigerians to accept and support deregulation as this will curb corruption, enhance competition, lead to reduction of pump price for petroleum products and ensure constant supply to meet Nigeria’s demand.

BREAKTHROUGH FOR BIAFRANS UNSTOPPABLE TILL BIAFRA IS RESTORED.

A Nigerian, Dickson Ndukwe Agbai has emerged the best student with the highest grade of doctorate degree in Bio-fuels from the Newcastle University, England.
Dickson, a native of Ugwueke Community in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State was adjudged the best for the award of the doctorate degree following his outstanding thesis on: ‘Analysis of Biofuel Potential in Nigeria.’
A joint report of examiners endorsed by Dr. Paul Wilson of University of Nothingham and Dr. P. J. Dawson of Newcastle University testifying to Dickson’s outstanding performance reads: ‘That the candidate be admitted immediately to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.’ This is the very best and the topmost Ph.D viva/thesis examination grade based on the university’s grading system.
The report dated September 9, 2014 went on: ‘This thesis examines the potential of biofuel production in Nigerian using programming methods. Various scenarios are estimated and appropriate policy recommendations follow. It is an interesting and worthy piece of research which tackles a problem that is highly relevant to the Nigerian Government. Indeed, the Nigerian Government sponsored Mr. Dick’s scholarship in open competition. The method of analysis is appropriate and while not novel, the application is. The thesis is well-written and well-presented, and its structure is appropriate. It is of doctoral standard.
‘During the oral examination (of 2 hours 10 minutes), the candidate defended the thesis well. He demonstrated a thorough understanding of his work and he can place his research in the wider context of the literature. He understands and appreciates the advantages and disadvantages of the alternative methods and provided a convincing argument for that chosen. The policy recommendations, which should be helpful to the Nigerian Government in its development of a biofuel policy, follow from the results and the candidate understands their implications.’
The Dean of Postgraduate Studies of the university, Dr. Stuart Edwards was effusive in his commendation of Dickson’s performance. Dr. Edwards states in a letter dated September 12, 2014 thus: I am writing with reference to your recent examination towards the degree of Ph.D. I note that the examiners have given exceptional praise to your work and I would like to take this opportunity personally to congratulate you on your success. I would like to wish you all the best in your future.’
Dickson’s academic feat has also not gone unnoticed back home. A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Eco Empowerment & Sensitization Initiative (ECO-ESI), Aba, Abia State commended him for bringing honour to Nigeria.
A statement signed Dr. Bari Brown Malachi Elisha, secretary to ECO-ESI, noted that Dr. Agbai had through his academic feat ‘placed the Nigerian flag at the pinnacle of academic excellence in a highly-competitive global stage.’
The NGO expressed its profound gratitude to the Federal Government and the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) for their financial sponsorship and support to Dr. Dickson Ndukwe Agbai and other Nigerian scholars during their programmes.
‘Their unparalleled financial support/scholarship enabled Dr. Dickson Ndukwe Agbai to fully focus and commit his time to studies during his research programme at Newcastle University, England; thus enabling him to achieve this rare academic excellence at the highest academic (Ph.D) level,’ the NGO stated.
The ECO-ESI however seized the opportunity to appeal that Nigerian scholars who did the country proud through their outstanding academic feat be given a national honour and jobs on their return to the country.
Prior to his Ph.D Degree, Dickson holds a B.Sc. Degree in Agricultural Economics & Extension, with a Second Class (Honours) Upper Division, from Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO); and a Master’s Degree in Environmental and Resource Management (with ‘Merit’ or ‘Very Good’ grade according to German grading system) from Brandenburg Technical University [BTU ] cottbus Germany.

THREE YORUBAS CAUGHT WITH $20M FAKE CURRENCY IN U.A.E SHARJAH.

Many Nigerians reside in the United Arab Emirates but some of the biggest news in the Arab nation right now is that of the busting of a money-doubling gang of three Africans in Sharjah. The raid was carried out by Sharjah Police and their headquarters explained the modus operandi of the suspects.

A senior police officer in Sharjah says the gang used fake currency to convince people that they can double their money and make them wealthy beyond belief. During the raid, Sharjah Police recovered $20 million in fake currency with the arrest of three Africans. According to Colonel Ibrahim Al Ajill, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), many unsuspecting residents fell prey to the well-orchestrated scam and many of them had visited the police to complain about illegal activities carried out in an apartment in the Al Nahda area.

Following the tip off, a team of CID officers authenticated their claims and raided the apartment. The raid was successful and the suspects were arrested red-handed with bales of fake currency notes. Original currencies like dollars, euros and dirhams were also recovered from them. They initially denied the fake currency belonged to them saying it was for someone else but later confessed to their crime and how they swindled people.

Sharjah is the capital of the Emirate of Sharjah and is the third largest and third most populous city in the United Arab Emirates, forming part of the Dubai-Sharjah-Ajman metropolitan area. Image credits: Creative Commons.
Prior to the raid, many businessmen had approached the three suspects and gave them their money for doubling. Sharjah Police say two of the suspects came to the UAE on a visit visa while the third one is on a residency visa that was given to him in the name of commercial shop.

An Abiyamo Fan residing in Sharjah has fully confirmed the raid and that was because the Fan stays in the same apartment as the suspects. The Fan was at home around 11.am last Sunday when the police entered his flat commando-style and by the time the dust cleared, they left with three fellow Nigerians who the Fan confirmed were caught with several fake dollars.

All the suspects are Yoruba from southwestern Nigeria. The first suspect is named Dele Ogunde, the other is Biyi and we are still working on getting the full names of the third. Two are from Oyo State while the third is from Ondo State. They remain in the custody of the Sharjah Police. This story will be updated as more details filter in so stay tuned.

EBONYI STATE PROTESTS TURNS BLOODY AS YOUTHS CLASH WITH FIRE SERVICE OFFICIALS.

Angered by failure of officials of Ebonyi State Fire Service in Abakaliki, to quell the inferno that gutted a 17-room apartment and eight shops, in the capital city, angry youths numbering over 200, on Thursday, clashed with officials of the service, resulting to vandalisation of vehicles belonging to the Fire service.
The incident, which occurred at a building located at No 13, Awolowo Street, close to the headquarters of the service, in Abakaliki, led to the destruction of properties worth millions of naira.
Findings by the Nigerian Tribune indicated that the clash ensued when officials of the service arrived at the scene of the incident without water, after several hours of delay, resulting to the inferno destroying items which included refrigerators, electronics, furniture and other household properties, and eight shops attached to the building.
“Five private vehicles parked at the premises of the building were smashed by the angry mob, which was embittered over the inferno.
The disaster started at about 9:00 a.m., caused by suspected electrical fault.
In an interview, one of the victims, Michael Nkwegu, revealed that there was power outage in the area, located very close to the office of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC).
He further maintained that when electricity was restored, there was a loud noise from the roof and smoke followed suit, “in a short while, fire engulfed everywhere and we started seeking for way to put it out,” he added.
Nkwegu called on the government and public spirited individuals to come to their aid.
A motorcycle was also burnt by the mob that was unhappy that the fire service officials could not come to the rescue of the victims.
Residents of the area had marched to the fire service office located along Water works road to register their grievance over the attitude of the officials.
But for the quick intervention of policemen, there would have been breakdown of law and order as the protest later turned violent, following a clash between the officials and the protesters.

SOUTH-AFRICA FINALLY PAID NIGERIA BACK WITH EVIL AS 50 NIGERIANS AFFECTED IN XENOPHOBIA.

The Nigerian Union in South Africa has said it has concluded arrangements to resettle 50 Nigerians affected by the ongoing xenophobic attacks.
The President of the union, Ikechukwu Anyene, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on phone from Pretoria, South Africa, on Saturday.
Mr. Anyene said the Nigerians were displaced at Jeppes Town, near Johannesburg.
“We met about 300 Nigerians in Jeppes town, near Johannesburg, who fled for their safety and about 50 of them do not have any place to stay.
“We are making arrangements with the Nigerian mission in South Africa to get them a place to stay for their safety.
“The Nigerian union has also presented relief materials to those affected by the attacks and we are in touch with various branch chapters of the union in the provinces on their safety and security,’’ he said.
According to him, Nigerian shops and businesses in Durban and Johannesburg have been looted and some burnt.
He said that two shops belonging to Nigerians in Durban were looted and they lost goods worth 400,000 Rand.
“In Jeppes Town, near Johannesburg, five shops were looted and one burnt while the estimated loss is put at One million Rand.
“The incidents have been reported to the police and we are still taking stock of attacks on Nigerians,’’ he said.
Mr. Anyene reiterated the union’s call to the Federal Government to put more pressure on the South African government to halt the attacks.
The Nigerian foreign minister had however claimed on Thursday that Nigerians had so far not been attacked, saying it would only evacuate Nigerians only if the situation gets worse.
“With the discussions I have been having with Nigeria’s Head of Mission in Pretoria, no Nigerian has so far been affected,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aminu Wali said Thursday in Abuja.
”They informed me that they have called the Nigerian community and addressed them and told them to close their shops, stay home and keep out of trouble and obey the laws of South Africa.
“They have also confirmed that the South African authority has moved in to take actions that would forestall any further disturbance in South Africa,” Mr. Wali said.
Mr. Wali said it will move to evacuate Nigerian citizens if the xenophobic attacks get worse.
“If it gets worse it is the duty of our country to make sure our people are brought back, and we are taking that duty serious.
”We are not prepared to allow any of our nationals to be subjected to such inhuman treatment.
“We are monitoring the situation and will now take action according to the situation that develops,” he said.
Xenophobia in South Africa dates back to 1994 and are mainly targeted at citizens of other African Countries.
In May 2008 a series of xenophobic attack left 62 people dead.
In the current attack, at least five people have been killed and hundreds forced to flee their homes in one of South Africa’s worst outbreaks of xenophobic violence in years.

WARNING!!! STOP USING MOBILE PHONES INSIDE TOILET AND BATHROOM.

Using your phone in the bathroom can spread serious illnesses, and the problem is only becoming worse as people use handheld devices more and more. From tweeting, to putting up Instagram posts, making comments on facebooks and even answering calls, people use their phones for a good number of reasons in the bathroom.

In a recent study of mobile phone habits of 1000 people by Wtop.com, about 75 per cent of those questioned admitted to surfing the web, using apps, emailng and texting while in the toilet – with more than 90 per cent saying they had returned calls. Are you guilty of this? If yes, here are some reasons you should stop this habit:

1. Anything that you intend on taking out with you, into the environment, probably shouldn’t be accompanying you into the bathroom. That goes for electronic devices, that goes for food, and that also goes for anything that you might be sharing with people. – Huffington Post

2. According to a U.K.-wide study by scientists from the London School of Hygiene and Topical Medicine and Queen Mary University of London, one in six mobile phones was contaminated with E. coli bacteria. Fecal bacteria and viruses like the flu can survive on someone’s hands and on surfaces for hours, especially in warm temperatures away from sunlight. – CBC

3. The use of a cellphone without either washing your hands or cleaning off the device with an alcohol wipe could lead to a “cumulative effect of bacteria”. – Huffington Post

4. Smartphones, keyboards and tablets are even more contaminated than toilet seats, said a study by U.K. watchdog Which? in 2013.

5. Any place where people are touching their bodies, then an inanimate object, with their hands without washing – they are potentially transferring bacteria or viruses to the objects – Sunshine Coast Daily

So, next time you want to take your phone to the bathroom, or use someone’s phone who has just taken it to the bathroom, you should remember these points!

Stay safe.

FINALLY T.Y DANJUMA CONFESSED NIGERIA COMMITTED GENOCIDE AGAINST BIAFRANS.

Some Igbo leaders, yesterday, blasted former Chief of Army Staff, General Theophilus Danjuma (retd) over his comments that if former Biafran Leader, late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, had conceded defeat quickly during the 1967-1970 civil war like President Goodluck Jonathan did after the 2015 presidential polls, Nigeria would have been saved one year of bloodshed.Danjuma spoke on Wednesday shortly after a closed-door meeting with President Jonathan, who visited him at his Abuja residence. He said the President averted civil war in the country by timely conceding defeat and congratulating Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), a move he said Ojukwu failed to make and thereby causing the country avoidable blood shed.

Coming at a time the Igbo are still seething over Oba of Lagos, HRM Rilwanu Akiolu’s threat that Igbo living in Lagos would drown within seven days in the Lagos Lagoon, if they did not vote his governorship candidate in tomorrow’s election, Danjuma’s comments elicited caustic criticisms.

Reacting to Danjuma’s comments yesterday, some Igbo leaders accused him of ridiculing the president, insulting Ojukwu and continuing the genocide against the Igbo by other means.

Among those who berated Danjuma are former Secretary-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo and officer in the Biafran Army, Col Joe Achuzia; Second Republic Politician, Chief Guy Ikokwu; botched Third Republic Governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife and former Deputy National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Chief Abia Onyike.

He is no longer strong mentally –Ezeife

Piqued at the comments, Ezeife said: ‘’I know Danjuma is not very well. So I am not surprised.’’

Igbo will respond – Ikokwu

Alleging that Danjuma killed Nigeria’s first military Head of State, General Ajuiyi Ironsi (an Igbo), Ikokwu said General Danjuma will get a full response after the elections because by talking about Ojukwu, he is talking about the South-East and South-South geo-political zones, which constituted most of the former Eastern Region and later the defunct Biafra.

His words: ‘’I don’t think we should take issues with Danjuma until after the elections. Jonathan went to him and not him to Jonathan. We shall respond to him.’’

Danjuma’s comments confirm the genocide against Igbo – Achuzia

In his reaction, Col Joe Achuzia said: ‘’I am happy that my friend Danjuma owned up that there was bloodshed and pogrom against the people of Biafra. I don’t understand what he meant by Ojukwu conceding defeat. If the Federal Government had implemented the Aburi Accord, the bloodshed would have been avoided.

‘’Ojukwu believed in Aburi as the road map for peace at the time of the crisis but the Federal Government reneged on the agreement reached in Ghana. One does not concede defeat half way into a battle. Doing that would have amounted to cowardice. I don’t know where Danjuma got the idea of Ojukwu not accepting defeat from. He has little knowledge of the intricacies of the war. He didn’t even know the terrain of the Enugu that he talked about. If the necessities of capitulating were there, why did the war last for three years? I fought the war for three years and I know that the necessities were not there. Sometimes people talk for talking sake.

‘’The President’s visit to him was a private one and he should not have used that opportunity to insult all that Ojukwu stood for. To say publicly that the President was defeated was even a mockery of the President. It does not portray the President in good light. Of course what he said was an insult on Ojukwu. His reference to the fall of Enugu is laughable because the war was just starting then. Which military officer will surrender in that kind of situation even before firing a bullet? When some people make wrong comments on the civil war, I wonder what often inform their judgement. Ojukwu was a General and was right on all the decisions he took in the interest of the Igbo.’’

His comments ‘re diversionary – Onyike

In a chat with newsmen in Abakaliki, Onyike, one-time commissioner for Information and Orientation in Ebonyi State, said it was most unpatriotic of Danjuma to make such comments at this point in the country’s political history.

He alleged that Nigeria’s problem now is not from the Ndigbo but from Danjuma’s North-Eastern zone occasioned by the Boko Haram and Hausa/Fulani herdsmen insurgency, insisting that the General’s comments were mere diversionary tactics deployed to denigrate the integrity of Ojukwu.

Onyike said: “In the first place, it was Danjuma that backed the spilling of the blood of the Igbo, with the killing of Aguiyi Ironsi in Ibadan in 1967 and we want to say that Danjuma belongs to the group of Army Officers who led the gruesome genocide and massacre of over three million Igbo during the Nigerian civil war.

“We want to say that the problem with General T. Y. Danjuma is mainly psychological because at a time when some of them felt that they had become great statesmen and patriots for presiding over the attempted extermination of the Igbo, unfortunately for them, the Igbo people survived and have come to assert themselves and their identity in the Nigerian federation.

“Secondly, a twist emerged in the Nigerian scene where people like Danjuma and the minority group where he comes from in the Northern have been subjected to the same gruesome murders by militant elements of the same northern oligarchy which they serve, and to that extent Danjuma cannot go to his village.

“So, let him go and resolve that problem first because when Ojukwu was making them understand the nature of the Nigerian federation and the dangers inherent in the politics that was emerging, Danjuma preferred to be a surrogate. So let him stop using the Igbo to hide his inadequacies.”
